ULSTER COUNTY HAS BECOME TOO EXPENSIVE
Too often solutions proposed to address the issue are to spend more money, raise taxes, and further regulate.
This is not working. It's time we had a local county representative who fights for you to help bring costs down, especially for housing.
We can and must do better.
Together, let’s create a future for our community!

• Address housing scarcity and costs
• Grow better-paying jobs for residents
• Improve local infrastructure
• Regulate short term rentals (STR)
• Protect our natural resources
• Stop lithium battery storage sites in our district
• Oppose raising local taxes, including the
“Fair Tax” proposal
About Peter Friedel
A resident of Olive, I was born and raised locally and attended the Onteora school district where both of my parents were teachers. I’m a husband and father of two. My career is in sales management, and I fully understand the real need to create better-paying jobs in our community.
I’ve served in many community organizations and boards, including the Olive Town Council, as well as an Olive volunteer EMT and for the Olive Fire Department. I’ve also been a member of Catskills Watershed Towns Board.
I want our area to not just be a beautiful place to visit, but also live, thrive and prosper for all of us and future generations.
